A Wonder 04:09
we have big confessions to make. this is not the time of miracles, but it's a wonder we work at all. the first touch is to comfort. the second is for conciliation. the third touch asks a question. the answer is forbidding so you must turn and face the wall. we have called many places home. we have called many bodies love. but does it bother you at all? walk through patterns just to pass the time, consume hurt because we hate the lie, and it's a wonder we work at all. take it now, the prix you've always wanted...
2.
quietly extend my hand to the open arms of the moon, and so warm inside, entertain my every mind. effervescence. reticently the stars wink at me, implying secrets they'll never share. but i will have what they'll never have, effervescence. don't try, don't try, to fall from the sky, cuz i will have what they'll never have...
3.
we trace our paths like cursive, chasing a life of soft pleasures. the moment you leave, another one takes over. throw them together and watch them collide. throw them together and witness the splatter. the worlds collide. we came as one, but i leave alone. i take my food from the fed, clothes from the dressed, love from the loved.
4.
the chance is real; the choice is false. completely bared, the riddle fails. no more veils! a blooming star, a gentle curve. be revealed in things becoming and undoing. head of steam invisible, i grasp the heel, but i can't let go.
5.
new day rising. comes up. heat is shaking air. the concrete gleams. the weeds will bleed their milky blood. i have seen the vastness. it is beautiful and boring as the dust we grow up and learn to lust. beware the harvest. they are harvesting our names, and senses are next. new day rising.
6.
Washing Out 03:29
washing out the burning sting from the skin that has been eroded. no one knows where you've been. no one knows your true name, but i do. and that is why you. i'd like to smell your dark flesh. lust and mild, you wield terrible power. polluted water... you lie there in the glow and think about what you've done to her with your heart of fool's gold. it don't mean anything. it's just a minute of heat and flash... feeling joy, full of hope, cuz all the theories are lies, and nothing is set, nothing is certain.
7.
Hard Way 02:12
i always take the hard way. that's what i do, and i do it well. i measure my every word. lungs keep on breathing, heart keeps on beating. i measure my every word. i always take the hard way. that's what i'll do, it's how i've always done it. i have fought fear and i have won where i used to lose, but i shall lose no more. (when i couldn't choose... all the myriad views!) i have fought fear, and i have won where i used to lose. i always take the hard way. that's what i'll do. yeah you know it, baby. i think it matters if it's here or there, if it's now or then, if it's right or wrong. we're only flesh and flesh is afraid. it's too easy to run away. do you remember how to pray?
8.
the world is full of shivering flesh and whimpering heartache, but i am strong tonight. the world is full of harsh sentiment and heartless beauty, but i am so calm tonight. i don't wanna live in it now, but i can't be leaving it now. i can't be living in it now. what do you believe in now? the traffic lights, they all look like christmas, but i've got nothing to give tonight. as surely as the traffic lights look like christmas, so we shall surely grow old and... don't wanna live in it now, but i can't be leaving it now. i can't be living in it now. what do you believe in now?

Surprise 07:21
we do things just to be rid of them. be still. take rest and comfort a little while. lips stained purple from the wine. never ending delight's a lie... memories real or imagined can haunt you all the same. i'm tied to forms as they are tied to trees. do you avert your eyes as they swing in the breeze? surprise, my darling... "it's been so long" you'll say to me. or maybe "so long" you'll say to me. it must feel good to be loved. i've got mine, you've got yours. surprise, my darling.

Play Undo 04:51
let us play undo on irreversible actions. every word is misconstrued. a fine mess you got into. you're only good as you are when you think no one is watching. the rest of the time, you're just acting. you cannot ignore me, really. you don't hear me, and that's why i choose you. because if i can have it, then why should i want it? you cannot ignore me, really. it's already too late. a lifetime's not forever. love is no solution. my love has no solution.
11.
tracing lines of grey with a finger, getting 'bout as far as treading water. where's the note? the note you left for us? before you leave, you should leave a note. i can't go to sleep because today owes me something i'm waiting to collect. i can't go to sleep because today owes me something i'm waiting to forget. you need me like i do you. oh it's true, you need me like i do you. why does it feel so good to give up? why does it feel so bad to wake up? i can't go to sleep because today owes me something i'm waiting to collect. i can't go to sleep because today owes me something i'm waiting to forget. you need me like i do you. oh it's true, you need me like i... there's too much sky... adrift at sea... we trip on our many tongues...
